KOCHI: Malayalam Actor-director Nadirshah, a close friend of actor Dileep, appeared before the special investigation team that is probing the actress assault case on Sunday.

According to the investigating officers, the interrogation of the filmmaker is underway at the Aluva Police Club. On Friday, Nadirshah appeared before the investigation team but the police could not interrogate him as he developed uneasiness and the medical team declared him unfit.

On Sunday also he was subjected to a medical examination by the police after he arrived at Police Club by 10 am. The Kerala High Court has directed the police not to arrest him till September 18, when the court considers his anticipatory bail plea again. The court also asked the filmmaker to appear before the police for questioning.

Dileep and Nadirshah were subjected to a marathon 13-hour long interrogation in June. According to the officers, he was not implicated in the case as of now and was the main witness. The investigation team had issued a notice to Nadirshah only to clarify some points encountered during the investigation. Nadirshah is a close friend of actor Dileep, who is in remand for allegedly plotting the February 17 attack on the actress.
