The year 2013 might have been a roller coaster ride for Nazriya Nazim but 2014 seems to have started on a high note for the Nayyandi actor. In an announcement that is sure to have broken many hearts, Naz said that she is engaged to Malayali actor Fahadh Fazil.

Nazriya Nazim
The bubbly young actor announced the engagement on her Facebook page on Monday with the message, “Friends. I have got engaged with Fahadh Fazil. Thanks for all your wishes”.   Sources say that the wedding will take place in August.

Fahadh Fazil
Fahadh is the son of noted director Fazil, who has directed films like Kadhalukku Mariyadhai and  Oru Naal Oru Kanavu. The actor rose to fame in a short span of time with his critically acclaimed performances in films like 22 Female  Kottayam, Friday and Amen.

While the general impression is that the wedding is an arranged one, rumour mills in the film industry say that the duo  has been dating for a while. It’s quite a coincidence then that the pair has been working together for Anjali Menon’s L for Love, a Malayalam film.

This year also holds other highs for Naz, who has several releases lined up – Thirumanam Ennum Nikkah and Vaai Moodi Pesum in Tamil with four more Malayalam films.

As for Fahadh, the actor is said to be in talks with Mani Ratnam for Ratnam’s next film, which will also supposedly feature Nagarjuna and Mahesh Babu.
