Vikram Bhatt's 'Horror Story'

Vikram Bhatt's 'Horror Story'

Vikram Bhatt is back with his next film Horror Story. The story revolves around seven youngsters who challenge each other to spend the night at the infamous hotel in the heart of the city, little did they know that this will turn out to be the most horrendous night of their life, rather, the last night of their life.

“This is a scare-a-minute film in the truest sense. It’s horror from the first scene to the last and has been shot in an international format,” says Vikram adding, “Our film is a new attempt; every horror film which either I have made or my company has made has songs, romance and there was a section of the audience who wanted me to make a hardcore horror film; so this time we have made it.”

Inspiration

“Right from childhood I had a thing for occult. I used to read a lot about occult and when my friends or cousins used to come home I used to tell them ghost stories. I always had this ability to scare people since i was a kid, but somehow never got the opportunity to use it. But then Raaz happened and it changed everything and then there was no looking back,” says the maker of films like Raaz, 1920, Haunted 3D and Raaz 3D.

“Real life stories inspires me more then any classic film. Some I have heard from people or read about it, Some I have experienced on my own, but I wont talk about it as it is very personal,” he adds.

Secret ingredient

“The only trick is what scares me will surely scare the audiences, or else its just waste of time, money and efforts. On the sets yes I do have a trick but its a secret and I wont tell you,” he says.

Life outside the screen

“My life outside the screen space is full of nothing. There is no gossip, I have lived too much too soon. All I can say is I am single and too afraid to mingle,” says the filmmaker.

No big stars

The film stars seven newcomers - Ravish Desai, Hasan Zaidi, Nishant Malkani, Sheetal Singh, Aparna Bajpai, Radhika Menon and Nandini Vaid. “I just chat with people. I never take auditions or screen test from people I cast. I just chat with them and check their emotional intelligence. If I get along with them then I cast them,” he says.

What next

“As of now I am directing Creature which is India’s first creature film,” says Vikram.
