The hit pair of the reality show Halli Hudga Pyateg Banda,  Rajesh and Aishwarya, continue to garner attention on the big screen with Jungle Jackie. This Ravi Kadur's film talks about a tribal boy and the city girl.

Rajesh, a woodcutter, who once lived in the forest moves to the city in search of a job. He finds one with a roadside pani puri stall. Here, he comes across Aishwarya, a college student.

She meets with a small accident when Rajesh treats her with his herbal concoctions. Aishwarya is blown by Rajesh's simplicity and gets attracted to him. This does not go down well with Aishwarya's brother Dharma, who attempts to kill Rajesh for eyeing his sister. Though Rajesh defends himself, he is hit on his head and loses his mental stability. Aishwarya who learns about Rajesh's condition admits him into a psychiatric facility for treatment.

It does not end here as Dharma attacks Rajesh again and tries to forcibly get her sister married off to a boy returning from the US. Will Rajesh regain his mental stability and fight back for his love is the crux of this story.

Jungle Jackie is no teenage classic with its conventional story, corrosive satire and savage violence.

Rajesh and Aishwarya might have been in the news because of the reality show but they will have to try really hard to get famous on big screen.

There's nothing much to mention about the supporting cast. Surprisingly, the camera work by M R Seenu who had worked in Jogi is very ordinary. Nothing great comes out of V Manohar, a veteran, who has scored the music, neither from Vianyakaram Kalagaru who has written the dialogues. Stunts are definitely the highlight of the film with Thriller Manju handling the sequences.

Interestingly, Rajesh and Aishwarya had the audiences cheering wildly for them. We spotted women sitting in the aisles to watch them together again.

The Verdict: Nothing to lose or gain watching Jungle Jackie. This movie is strictly for Rajesh's fans.
