Over the years, Puri Jaggannadh seems to have lost his talent in weaving fresh stories. Rogue is a case in point.

The movie is about this reckless youngster(Ishan) who is cheated by  his lady love Anjali (Angela Krislinzk). To woo Anjali, our hero fights with cops, breaks the leg of one of the cops, which will land him in jail. Once out of the jail, the young man learns of the  pathetic condition of the cop’s family and decides to help them. This is when he meets another girl (Mannara Chopra) whose name also happens to be Anjali; thus is the first first part of Rogue.
Here Puri puts in a tired twist. Anjali is being hounded by a psychopath (Anoop Singh) who stalks her and shoots down anyone who comes in his way. The rest of the movie is how the hero saves the second Anjali from the villain.

The only good thing to come out of this is Ishan. He has good looks, style and talent for acting, Ishan is a find. This provided he puts in some effort. Manara Chopra and Angela  Krislinzk do not fit into their respective roles. Except for a few good visuals, there is nothing much in Rogue.
Puri compared Rogue to the rogue elephant, who keeps away from the herd. You should keep a good distance from this movie too. It is high time that the director puts aside romance woven around one line, and start seeing the whole picture.
