Jiiva completes a full circle

Actor Jiiva seems to be one artiste, who wants to be part of all kinds of films. While the Ko hero currently has Gautham Vasudev Menon’s Neethanae En Ponvasantham (NEP) that is set for December 14 release, Bejoy Nambiar’s David, Ravi K Chandran’s Yaan and Ahmed’s Endrendrum Punngai  in his kitty, the actor has now signed another film by Sairamani. Jiiva has already done a film helmed by the filmmaker titled Singam Puli, in which he played dual roles for the first time.

Their next film is said to be made in a huge budget with all commercial elements like the one in their previous combination. Jiiva had once said he wanted to do more commercial projects following the response for his Thenavattu. Interestingly, comedy actor Santhanam seems to have agreed to join Jiiva in the untitled film, which will go on floors from January 2013. Jiiva is also playing a cameo in debutant director P T Selvakumar’s film Onbadhula Guru. Meanwhile, it appears like Gautham Menon has shot too much for Neethanae En Ponvasantham that he couldn’t accommodate all the scenes in the theatrical version.

But, instead of wasting those scenes by using them with the end credits, the filmmakers have decided to use them for promoting the film by releasing the edited scenes prior to the actual release.

The NEP team has devised a plan to launch the scenes in theatres.
