It’s the dream of every actor to try a variety of roles and so was it with actor Vijay Vasanth too.

The actor, who has been seen in many successful multi-starrers, is now flying solo in Mathil Mel Poonai. Not only that, the film is important to him since it’s the first time he is doing several action scenes including car chases and fights.

Speaking to CE about the movie, he says, “The film is an action comedy and actor Vibha plays my heroine. The director is Bharani, who was an assistant of director Selvaraghavan. This is my first solo hero movie, so it’s really special. Moreover, I had to do my first big action scenes and I was really apprehensive about it. I have been part of action scenes in the past, but this was something totally different. So far I have been playing boy next door roles and always escaped being hit by others.”

The scenes were choreographed by Michael master. The film has been shot in Paramakudi, Koutrallam, Kumbakonam, Pondicherry and Chennai. Prabhu plays an important role while the music is by Renigunta fame Ganesh Raghavendra. The film is slated for a March release.
