Vaibhav, who was in several director Venkat Prabhu’s films — Goa, Saroja and Mankatha and also in Sasikumar’s Eesan, is now busy shooting for a bilingual comedy in Tamil and Telugu. The actor, who was absent from Kollywood for a while, is now returning with Pizza 2. It maybe recalled that Pizza, directed by Karthik Subburaj, had been a huge hit in Tamil. The film was produced by Thirukumaran Entertainments.

Now the same production house is making the sequel titled Pizza – The Villa. What is noteworthy about the project is, producer CV Kumaran’s penchant for introducing shortfilm directors into mainstream cinema. Like Karthik Subburaj, Pizza – The Villa too will be directed by a shortfilm director Deepan Chakravarthy.

Sanchita Shetty, who is currently part of Soodhu Kavvum will be the heroine. Incidentally, Soodhu Kavvum is also made by the same production house. Pizza had made its hero Vijay Sethupathy a household name. With music by Santhosh Narayan, editing Leo John Paul and art by Mayan, the film will go on the floors from April.
