Tamil Film Director Guru Dhanapal Passes Away

Tamil film director Guru Dhanapal died today at the Government Hospital here following chest ailment.

The 55-year old Dhanapal was admitted to the hospital on April 14. He died this morning without responding to treatment, police said.

Making his debut with Karthik starrer "Unnai Ninaichen Pattu Padichen in 1992, he has directed hits including "Thai Maman", "Maman Magal", "Periya Idathua Maapali" and "Suyathchi MLA.
