PANAJI: Veteran actor Kamal Haasan says he has asked his elder daughter Shruti Haasan to be more vigilant after an unidentified stalker tried to enter her residence in Mumbai.

The stalker allegedly tried to barge into Shruti's Bandra residence yesterday, but her timely act of closing the door prevented the man from entering her house.

The 59-year-old actor said he has spoken to Shruti, who was last seen on the big screen in 'Ramayya Vasthavayya', and she is doing fine.

"I had a word with Shruti. She is doing fine... It is Mumbai. We have to be careful and I have asked her to be more vigilant from now on," Kamal said.

The 'Vishwaroopam' star is here to attend the 44th India International Film Festival and he said he is looking forward to experience the best of Indian and world cinema during his stay.

"I have been coming to IFFI for many years now. For me, this is a place for learning. Over the years, I have attained a lot of knowledge about films through this festival. I intend to do so this time around as well," said Kamal.
