Lakshmi devy, the female lead of the upcoming movie Masala Padam also went on to script the screenplay for the same movie. “ Masala movies are intelligent pieces of work that entertain the masses. Making such a movie is no easy endeavour. It may seem like an easy formula but nuances and fragile entertaining sensibilities are what make a masala movie a super hit among the masses. It seems a simple genre but remains one of the most puzzling story lines to crack.” said Lakshmi, who also venutred into writing screenplay for the movie. On the making of the film, she said that, while brainstorming, the team had debated on the masala film genre and on online criticism that had oflate become a huge rage and this inspired them to make Masala Padam.
