Arun Vaidyanathan Gears Up for a Tamil Thriller

Arun Vaidyanathan, who directed the critically acclaimed thriller Achamundu Achamundu (2009) in Tamil, and Peruchazhi (2014), a Malayalam film featuring Mohanlal in the lead, is now directing a Tamil thriller.

aru.JPGSays a source close to the unit of the film, “It will be a cop film that appeals to all classes of audience. Actor Arjun is to play the role of an intelligence officer in the film also featuring Prasanna, Varalakshmi Sarathkumar, Suman, Suhasini Maniratnam, Vaibhav and Sruthi Hariharan.” Arun Vaidyanathan, who also turned producer by producing the hit, Kalyana Samayal Saadham (2013), has penned the dialogues and screenplay along with writer Anand Raghav for this film.

Arvind Krishna will be the cinematographer of the film, which will have tunes by Navin of Kalyana Samayal Sadham and Vil Ambu fame. Sathish Suriya has been chosen as the editor and Arusamy is the art director. The first schedule of the bilingual will begin from the third week of November in Bengaluru and the remaining scenes will be shot in Chennai.
