Yuvan Heads to Hollywood

The musician will be working in an animation film, Woolfell, which the director says would be along the lines of the Transformers

Music director Yuvan Shankar Raja is to score music for a Hollywood film. Yes, you read that right! The young musician has agreed to score the music for a full-length animated feature film, Woolfell.

Confirming the news to City Express, Hari, the director of the animation film, says, “It is true. Yuvan Shankar Raja will be scoring the music for my film which will be in the league of the Transformers. In fact, he has finished scoring the music for the teaser of the film. We intend to release the teaser in the American Film Market on November 7.”

Stating that this film will not have any songs, Hari informs they may consider having a promotional song later. “My film is about a futuristic world. Humans evolve to become robots and what follows is a political drama. The lead character is a robot called Ivan Drago. Yuvan has finished scoring the team track for Drago,” says Hari and adds that they intend to premiere their film at Sundance.

Giving details of how they got the musician on board, Hari says, “From the beginning, we were certain that he was the perfect person for the job. So, I told him that if he liked the teaser, he could come on board. He was aware of the scripting process from the beginning. When he saw the teaser, he was confident that it was on par with American films and chose to come on board.”

The film, the director says, will most hit screens in December 2017. “I will be giving the final footage of my film in January 2017 to Yuvan for him to score the backgound music. We are eyeing the Christmas season that year to release the film,” he smiles proudly.
