Namitha Pairs With Mohanlal in Malayalam

Actress Namitha’s efforts to reduce weight seem to be paying her rich dividends. The actress, who only recently lost close to 18 kgs, has now landed a role opposite Malayalam superstar Mohanlal in his next film. The film, titled Pulimurugan, will see Namitha playing Mohanlal’s love interest. Talking to City Express, Namitha said, “It is true. I had sent the team my pictures after losing weight and they immediately got back to me saying that I had been selected for this character.

Namitha.jpgEven Mohanlal sir acknowledged the effort I had put in and appreciated me for it. He is such a wonderful human being.”   While talking about the movie she said, “With regard to the film, I play a girl called Julie. Apart from me, the film, which is being directed by Vysakh, also has Kamalini Mukherjee in it. I can’t disclose too many details of the movie, but it  is that it is an action thriller. The name of the village is called Puli and Mohanlal sir plays Pulimurugan. His character is that of a person who lends a helping hand to the villagers.” Already , the team has shot for a period of 30-35 days. “I believe they have another 15 days of shoot left,” the actress explains.
