CHENNAI: Police have launched a hunt for miscreants who conned yesteryear actor S Raja Shree (72) by diverting her attention and escaped with her bag with gold jewellery on Tuesday.
A resident of West Mambalam, she was waiting in her car at Panagal park when a conman
pointed to money on the road and asked her if that was hers, police said. Raja Shree climbed out of the car to check if she had dropped the cash when another conman fled away with the bag containing gold jewellery.
Only few minutes ago, the jewellery was taken from the bank. She was waiting for her son when the incident happened. Police have registered a case.
