Gautham and Kannan team up for their next

Gautham Karthik who did films like Kadal (2013), Yennamo Yedho (2014) and Vai Raja Vai (2015), has teamed up with filmmaker Kannan of Jayam Kondaan (2008) fame for his next. The puja was held in the city recently and we hear the shooting will begin in September. Touted to be an action thriller, the movie is set in the backdrop of heavy rains that lashed the city last year.

SGautham and Kannan.JPGources say the crew has plans to shoot further during the rainy season across the country. While Gautham plays a true-blue Chennaiite in this yet-to-be-titled flick, the other cast and crew members are yet to be finalised. Rumours are abuzz that Anupama Parameswaran of Premam (2015) fame, is being considered for the lead role.

V N Mohan, former assistant to P C Sreeram will handle cinematography and Nivas K Prasanna of Thegidi (2014) has been roped in to compose music. Meanwhile, Kannan’s last directorial was Jiiva-Taapsee Pannu starrer Vandhaan Vendraan (2011) and Gautham is busy with his current projects including Muthuramalingam, Indrajith, Rangoon and Sippai.
