Kanavu Variyam Wins Remi Award at WorldFest

Director Arun Chidambaram’s Kanavu Variyam has won the Remi Award at the 49th WorldFest Houston International, which will be held from April 8-17, 2016. WorldFest is the oldest Independent Film & Video Festival in the World. Sources claim that the film has been chosen from thousands of entries, from over 43 movie-producing nations worldwide.

Kanavu Variyam’s world premiere will be at WorldFest. In addition to playing the lead role and directing the movie, Arun has written the story, screenplay, dialogues and lyrics for Kanavu Variyam.

Apart from this, Kanavu Variyam has won the Special Jury award at the National Science Film Festival 2016, organised by the Government of India. Arun Chidambaram completed his Masters in the US and worked for JP Morgan Chase in Chicago. He quit his lucrative job in the United States and returned to Chennai to pursue his dream and passion for cinema.
