Rajinikanth-starrer 2.0 will have him playing triple roles. Apart from the scientist Vaseegaran and a revamped version of Chitti the robot, we hear, this sequel will have another avatar of Superstar. It’s also being said that there’s only one song in the film, a duet, featuring Amy Jackson and Rajinikanth, which was shot in Ukraine.
“But the album will feature five or six songs,” said the sources. Double Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman is the music director, and the film marks the Tamil debut of Akshay Kumar, who plays the antagonist. Bankrolled by Lyca Productions, 2.0 also features Sudhanshu Pandey and Adil Hussain, who was seen in English Vinglish (2012) as Sri Devi’s husband, in important roles.
The first look of the much-anticipated film will be unveiled on November 20 in Mumbai and the event will be streamed live.
