Reports are doing the rounds that Mani Ratnam’s next will be a multi-starrer. While rumours earlier suggested that Ram Charan will play one of the leads, it is now believed that the film will star names like Vijay Sethupathi, Dulquer Salmaan, Fahadh Faasil and Arvind Swami.

We hear that Vijay Sethupathi and Mani Ratnam met recently, though we don’t know if it was regarding this project.

Dulquer and Arvind Swami have both worked with the filmmaker in the past, while Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil are already collaborating on Aneethi Kathaigal.

Word has it that the Mani Ratnam film will be a bilingual shot in Tamil and Malayalam.

An official announcement is expected soon.

Bankrolled by Madras Talkies, Santhosh Sivan will handle the cinematography.
