Condolences poured in for Om Puri (66) as he passed away in Mumbai on Friday. Kamal Haasan, who acted with him in Mumbai Express (2005) and Hey Ram (2000), wrote on Twitter, “So long Omji. Prided myself on being his friend peer & admirer. Who dare say my Om Puri is no more? He lives through his work.” Puri reprised Delhi Ganesh’s role in the Hindi version of Avvai Shanmugi (Chachi 420, 1997). Kamal had also launched the veteran’s biopic Om Puri: An Unlikely Hero, penned by his journalist wife Nandita.
