Women-centric films will not change men’s way of thinking: Manju

CHENNAI: Shriya Saran, Tamannaah, Amyra Dastur and Manju Warrier shook a leg to Appadi Podu at a conclave that was held recently. Speaking on the occasion, Manju said women-centric films won’t change how men treat women.

“The change eventually occurs when the whole outlook of the society changes,” she added. The other actresses, who were also a part of the panel, echoed similar thoughts. The Baahubali actress stressed on the importance of teaching women self-defense.

“As a woman, it’s important how he learn to safeguard ourselves,” she added. Shriya pointed out how Hindi films have a large appeal in terms of experimentation with stories and scripts. Also, she added strict against ill-treatment of women is the ultimate way to bring in a change.

Anegan fame Amyra Dastur who has worked in Bollywood films feels that there’s no North-South divide as far as films were concerned.
