Srushti Dange, who was last seen Achchamindri (2016), is excited about her Mollywood debut 1971: Beyond Borders directed by Major Ravi. She’s thrilled to star alongside Mohanlal.  “I am glad that 2017 has started on a good note. I have immense respect towards Major Ravi and trust his abilities more than mine. He approached me last October.

I was particular that I don’t miss this offer,” she says In this war drama, she plays an innocent character and is paired opposite Allu Sirish. “I was roped in because Ravi thinks I have a ‘baby face’. Though it’s a serious film, I am part of romantic portions. We have begun shooting in Kochi,” she adds.

Talking about working with Mohanlal, she tells, “I absolutely idolise him. He’s immensely knowledgeable and the happiest soul I’ve seen. There is no wall between him and others on the sets. He’s called a complete actor; I’d refer to him as a complete human being.”

Srushti has no qualms about being a part of multi-starrers. “As long as my character stands out, I am cool with doing anything,” she grins. Citing Dharma Durai (2016) as example, she elaborates, “I’d not have been seen throughout the film, yet, people liked my character.”

The Maharashtrian is keen on doing more films in Kollywood. Up next, she has Mupparimanam, Kaalakkoothu, Pottu, Saravanan Irukka Bayamaen, and a couple of others in her kitty. In Saravanan... she plays a Kerala Muslim girl. “My portions come in the flashback. Though Regina Cassandra is the main lead, my scenes also form a major part of the film,” she shares. In Kaalakkoothu, she plays a slum-dweller.
