The shooting of Ajith’s spy film, Vivegam, which began on July 6 last year, has now been completed in exactly one year, and on Thursday, the film’s director, Siva took to Twitter to share the news. “With blessings of god, (we’ve) successfully and happily completed Vivegam shoot,” read the tweet, which included a photo of the director with Ajith. The film was shot for 150 days, with almost all of it happening abroad.
Akshara Haasan, who’s making her debut in Tamil cinema with this film also shared her joy on Twitter: “Finally finished the shoot of Vivegam. Thank you director Siva for letting me be part of this project. Thank you Ajith sir for being supportive. Feel I’ve grown with this project. Would also like to thank the entire team for being patient. And congratulations to one of the most hardworking teams I’ve ever met,” she said.
Vivek Oberoi, who’s also debuting in Tamil cinema with this film wrote, “An incredible and an unforgettable experience working with director Siva, Ajith anna and the Vivegam team. The countdown begins, Thala fans.”
It has also been revealed that comedian Karunakaran plays the role of an NRI Tamil named Aps and that he will be seen in many scenes alongside Ajith, whose name in the film is AK.
Meanwhile, the director Siva, and Anirudh, the composer, have confirmed that the film’s second single, after Surviva, will be released on July 10.
This single, titled Thalai Viduthalai, is penned by Siva himself. The film, which will be two hours and twenty minutes in length, will have three action sequences.
With cinematography by Vettri, the film has editing by Ruben, and art direction by Milan. The film is expected to release on August 10.
