A still from the film Kundratthiley Kumaranukku Kondattam

PM Dhayanandan’s Kundratthiley Kumaranukku Kondattam, whose music launch is scheduled to happen this month, has an impressive list of technicians on board, despite featuring relatively fresher faces in the lead roles. Raja Mohammad, who won the National Film Award for Best Editing for his work in Paruthiveeran is handling the editing, while Nirav Shah’s assistant P Velmurugan is the cinematographer.

S Shankar, brother of renowned cinematographer-turned-director S Saravanan, has composed the music for the film. Apart from Prajin and Riyamikka, who’re playing the lead pair, the cast also includes director Bhagyaraj, Imman Annachi, Shakila, Gana Bala and many more.

Talking about the film, director Dhayanandan says, “Kundrathile... is a film about an aimless youth who gets into serious trouble with his close friends. How he comes out of it and whether he succeeds in his love forms the crux of the story. The film has a good dose of comedy.”

Heaping praises on Imman Annachi, the filmmaker says, “We actually approached him only for a song as a lot of people told us that he’ll charge a lot and won’t give dates. But when he listened to the script, he immediately agreed to do a major role in the film without any remuneration!”
