First-time filmmaker Kumaresh Kumar is ready to showcase his talent with English Padam, which is set for release this Friday. The director says the title refers to the fact that his film has twists and turns along the lines of a Hollywood action film.
Kumaresh claims the pace of his film does not slacken through the film. “English Padam is all about four youngsters who get cheated by a seasoned criminal. It boils down to the mind game as the hunter becomes the hunted. The climax will reveal the meaning of the title,” he says.
The film has no big names, save for Ramki. “My script did not demand a big actor and the newcomers have done a great job,” says Kumaresh, adding that the audience can expect the unexpected in this murder mystery.
