Rana Daggubati has a new look in his next film, 1945, that is set in the backdrop of pre-partition India. The Tamil-Telugu bilingual boasts  of a solid star cast with names like Regina Cassandra, Sathyaraj, Nasser and RJ Balaji being part of the project.

Rana plays the role of a soldier in Subhash Chandra Bose’s Indian National Army in the period drama, directed by Sathya Siva, the shooting of which is currently underway in Kochi. It is notable that Rana’s previous outing, Ghazi, was also a period drama and made in multiple languages.

The actor introduced the director Sathya Siva and cinematographer Sathya through his Twitter handle, and also shared a selfie with the caption, “Alright, the beard is gone. Moving to another period and working on a new look for 1945. The first look will be out in November.”
