It looks like the untitled Suriya-Selvarghavan project, referred to by fans as Suriya 36, is getting bigger by the day. The latest news is that the team has built massive sets resembling the temple region and the residential areas of Ambasamudram for the next schedule in Chennai. According to sources, about three crore has been spent on the sets and a crew of around 200 workers has worked on it under the supervision of the film’s art director, Vijay Murugan.

Selvarghavan has reportedly decided to opt for the sets considering the practical difficulties of shooting with a large crowd of junior artistes in real locations. Co-starring Rakul Preet and Sai Pallavi, the film officially went on the floors on January 1. Having completed the first schedule recently, the team has planned to shoot a crucial portion of the film on the sets for 20 days. The film is produced by Dream Warrior Pictures, whose last production was the critically acclaimed Aruvi. Suriya 36 is slated for release on Diwali this year, alongside Vijay’s film with AR Murugadoss.
