Kreshna seems to have things going his way, as he is shooting for Meera Kathiravan’s action-thriller Vizhithiru. “I play Muthu Kumar and the story is about a boy, who’s lost in the city. Set in Chennai, the film happens within 12 hours,” he says, adding the movie was shot completely around Ritchie Street, Mount Road and Vepery.

Not at all daunted by the prospect of negative stereotyping, he says he’s game for a role of a villain too.  “Our audience wants a lot of interesting material. But at the same time, they will like it if it is layered with a good subject,” he says.

Why a big hiatus after Kazhugu? “I am comfortable doing one film at a time. Moreover, I am not in a hurry to sign films,” he adds. Kreshna is happy about playing one of the lead roles in Vanavarayan Vallavarayan. He’s also working on an untitled film with Vijay Sethupathi, “A major portion of the film will be shot around Nagercoil and the movie will go to floors in September and release in February,” he says.
