She might have been suitable as actor Vijay’s sister in Thuppakki, but actor Deepthi has no clue about it as she is yet to watch the film. “I live in Pune and Thuppakki hasn’t released here yet. Hopefully, I will watch the film in a day or two,” she says. Director A R Murugadoss already knew Deepthi since she had done a small role in his production venture Engeyum Eppodhum and seemed to have found her apt for the role in Thuppakki. “Not just him, even Vijay sir said I resembled his late sister Vidhya. Vijay was very simple and friendly on the shooting spot. I was reluctant to talk to him initially keeping his star stature in mind but he would casually come and sit with us while not shooting,” she says.

Deepthi, a Keralite settled in Pune and is currently pursuing her MBA in HR and Marketing. She started as an anchor in a Malayalam TV channel and later made her entry into films. She is playing the female lead in an upcoming film titled Thulli Vilayadu. “I shot for the film for about 35 days and it was easy as major portions were in North India. Director Vincent Selva was very fast and we shot at least five scenes every day,” she says.
