Looks like the makers of 'Vanavarayan Vallavarayan' (VV) are leaving no stone unturned in casting the right person for different roles in the film. After getting yesteryear actor ‘Sowkar’ Janaki onboard to play an important role in the film alongside hero Krishna, rumour has it the filmmakers have convinced singer S P Balasubramaniam’s son SP Charan to play an important part in the film. The director of the film, Rajamohan, debuted in Kollywood with 'Kunguma Poovum Konjum Puravum', which was produced by Charan.

S P Charan was last seen on screen in 'Va (Quarter Cutting)' in 2010, much before the singer went on to lose weight. VV will feature a slimmer and fitter Charan, who has earlier acted in Venkat Prabhu’s 'Saroja'. The singer last year produced 'Aaranya Kaandam' (2011), which won several awards, including National Awards for its director Thyagarajan Kumararaja and the editor duo of Praveen-Srikanth.

Charan recently won the Vijay Award for Best Singer along with his father SPB for the hit number 'Aiyyayo Nenju' from 'Aadukalam'.

In 'Vanavarayan Vallavarayan', it is not known as to what role the singer-producer will be essaying. Shoot for the movie is on full swing in Pollachi and Gopi. It has already been reported that VJ Ma Ka Pa Anand will make his silver screen debut with the film, while Monal Gajjar and Niharika Kareer will play the female leads.
