Rajendra Prasad discharged from hospital

Actor Rajendra Prasad was discharged from hospital Wednesday morning after two days of medical care.

"His health condition is much better now and the doctors have confirmed that he's fit to go home. There's absolutely no need to worry and he will resume work soon," the actor's secretary Naga Raju told IANS over phone from Hyderabad.

Rajendra Prasad, 56, was rushed to Care Hospital in Hyderabad Monday after he complained of pain in the chest. The doctors performed angioplasty on him.

His wife, daughter and son were with him in the hospital.

One of the best comedians of the Telugu film industry, he has starred in more than 200 Telugu films, besides being part of a few Tamil films in his three-decade-long career. He earned the title of 'King of Comedy' after starring in some of the best comedies.

Prasad also won the prestigious Nandi award twice for "Erra Mandaram" (1991) and "Aa Naluguru" (2004).
