Dhanush Returns As Nava Manmadhudu

Immersed in relief works for flood-hit Chennai, Dhanush has something to look forward to, as his upcoming film 'Thanga Manam' is about to release.

Although he’s immersed in relief works towards flood-hit Chennai, actor Dhanush has something to look forward to, as his upcoming film Thanga Manam is gearing up for release.

The film, which is directed by Velraj (who previously helmed Dhanush in 2014 blockbuster Raghuvaran B.Tech), is titled Nava Manmadhudu in its Telugu dubbed version.

Even though the unprecedented deluge in Chennai has put  a halt to the film’s promotions, the makers are confident that Dhanush’s persona and appeal would draw crowds to the theatre.

“Dhanush is not just popular in Chennai, but across the country. The combination of Velraj and Dhanush worked wonders at the box office during Raghuvaran B.Tech and we expect it to continue this time around as well. The film has action, drama, emotions and just about everything in it to keep the viewers interested,” expressed producers N Venkatesh and N Ravikanth. Music for the film has been given by Anirudh Ravi Chander, known for the iconic Kolaveri Di, and the audio launch is on December 11. Nava Manmadhudu, which also features Samantha and Amy Jackson in important roles, is slated to release on December 18.
