Baahubali 2 teaser out: No clues on why Kattappa killed Baahubali but other surprises in store

The teaser video of the much-awaited sequel of 'Baahubali' was released on YouTube today, in virtual reality mode, giving fans a sneak peek into what to expect from the sequel of a super successful film shot using technology assured to give the audience more than just a visual treat.

The “Virtual experience of being on 'Baahubali' sets! This is being captured on high-end VR camera built by AMD Radeon. The second is 3D photo-realistic VR experience built in a game engine and set in the climax of 'Baahubali 2' and will release before the release of the second part,” said Rajamouli on his twitter page.  

Apparently the date of the teaser's release was chosen to also celebrate the movie star Prabhas's birthday.

In the first few seconds of watching the teaser video, one would feel the urge to alter the video quality as one might feel that shots are broken and flickering. However, the description below the video provides a link on 'how to  watch on the sets of Baahubali – A VR video'. The link opens a new window on You Tube with director S S Rajamouli himself describing the necessary tools needed to watch the 'first look motion video or teaser' The director suggests the need to use a Google cardboard box and a smart phone with a good internet connection.

Rajamouli very patiently tutors his viewers on how to download the cardboard app, and how to watch the video in 360 degree to get the feel of being on the sets of Baahubali. Seen in the video are director Rajamouli, actors Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, and Satyaraj, offering a full panoramic view of the sets of Baahubali, and dropping hints about how great the movie-viewing experience would be with these technological additions.
