Director Boyapati Srinu is known for churning out high-voltage mass masala entertainers. He has now teamed up with two-film old actor Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas for Jaya Janaki Nayaka. Contrary to his previous outings, the director has chosen a soft title for the film and he justifies it by saying, "I have been doing action films for years now. Jaya Janaki Nayaka is one such film that's close to my heart. It's high on emotions and I have been longing to direct this film for sometime now.

Finally, my dream got fulfilled only after I met Sai Srinivas. The film's genre is similar to that of my debut film Bhadra. Many people have asked me about this film's title, I would like to tell one and all that the story and the lead characters are connected to the title and you will find it relevant after watching the film."

Incidentally, Boyapati and Srinivas were supposed to team up for a film after the latter's debut project Alludu Seenu but the duo succeeded only in their second attempt. "I was supposed to join hands with Srinivas before four years. But things never turned out in our favour and as a result, the project was put on the back burner. However, this film has a different script and deals with a contemporary plot," adds Boyapati.

The film also starring Rakul Preet Singh is locking horns with two other releases Lie and Nene Raju Nene Mantri this weekend. Ask him if he is feeling nervous about the competition at the box office, he shots back saying, "I'm not at all tensed and feel a healthy competition is always good. As the genres of these films is different, I feel audience will enjoy watching all of them. On top of it, I'm supremely confident that the film will be a big hit in my career. The reason why I'm saying that is because I decide to direct a film only after I'm 100% convinced with the script. I also make it a point to live upto the expectations of the audience and the trade. This time too, my new movie offers all the elements one may expect from my films."

Post the success of Legend, music composer Devi Sri Prasad and director Boyapati Srinu had a war of words and their arguments caught everyone off guard. The duo have collaborated again for his upcoming release. Responding on their patch up, Boyapati reveals, "It's quite natural to have some minor misunderstandings during the journey. But, Devi Sri Prasad is my good friend and we have moved on. This is my fourth project with him and we always enjoy working together. The script excited him so much that he gave wonderful tunes and background score."

The Sarrainodu director is all praise for Sai Srinivas and asserts that the budding actor will become the next big star in Tollywood.  "Sai Srinivas is passionate and has good acting potential. He has all the qualities to become a big star. He handled the pressure well and is a dedicated actor. As for his performance in the movie, I can vouch you that the audience will fell in love with his character," concludes Boyapati.
