MegaPowerful combination: Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan to act together in Trivikram's film

HYDERABAD: In a sensational revelation, Tollywood's biggest stars -- Megastar Chiranjeevi and his brother Powerstar Pawan Kalyan are going to act together in a film directed by Trivikram.

Even as the two brothers rose to superstardom in cinema, they never appeared on the big screen together. There appeared to be a clear rift in the family, when Pawan shunned his brother's political motives and floated his own political party. However, it seems the two of them have kept their political ideologies aside for a moment, and have teamed up for a film -- in what is being touted as the 'Baap of all multi-starrers'.

The news was announced by industrialist and veteran producer T Subbirami Reddy, who said it was a dream to watch the two of them in the same film and that he would be bankrolling the film. Reddy had earlier made movies with stalwarts like Sobhan Babu, Rajinikanth and Chiranjeevi in the past. Some of his big hits include, Jeevana Poratam (1986), State Rowdy (1989), Gangmaster (1994) and Bhagavad Gita (1993).

"After watching Chiranjeevi garu in 'Khaidi No 150', I felt that I should return to producing movies as well. I felt Trivikram is the best director to make this movie. Today I met Trivikram for the second time at my residence and finalised the movie. I am happy to announce that I would be producing this mega movie with the association of another great producer C Ashwini Dutt," Subbirami Reddy said.

The announcement attains significance since it lays to rest all speculations of bad blood between the two brothers. While the two of them had always maintained that everything was normal between them, speculation intensified after Pawan skipped Chiranjeevi's daughter Sreeja's wedding last year. Multiple confrontations between  Pawan's family members -- Naga Babu and Allu Arjun -- and his fans, didn't help matters either.

However, post the release of Khaidi No.150, it seems clear that the brothers have patched up once again. Pawan also visited Chiranjeevi's residence after the release of Khaidi No.150, stating that while they have political differences, when it comes to cinema, they stand united. Pawan had also congratulated his elder brother on completing 150 films in the industry and reiterated that he's the biggest star in Telugu cinema.
Now with the idea of Tollywood's Megastar and Powerstar sharing the same frame turning into reality, a visual treat is in store for their massive fan-following.
