Bollywood actor Neil Nitin Mukesh will be making his debut in Telugu cinema as the antagonist in Prabhas’ Saaho. Sources add that Neil’s character is the second most important one in the film after the lead. Bankrolled by UV creations, the film is written and directed by Sujeeth.

It was previously speculated that Arvind Swami would be playing the negative role but Neil, who made his entry into South Indian films via the 2014 Vijay starrer Kaththi, has bagged the role.
Despite playing the lead in films such as Lafangey Parindey and Jail, Neil has also done negative roles in Players, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and Wazir. Saaho, which will be made in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, and dubbed in Malayalam, will have music by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. While the female lead is yet to be signed, Pooja Hegde is said to have been approached for the role.
