Vijay’s blockbuster Theri (2016) might be remade in Telugu soon. While talks are on with a few leading heroes, the team is yet to zero in on anyone. However, reports are doing rounds that Pawan Kalyan, who is on a remaking spree, might be part of the project. When we contacted sources close to the star, they denied the news and confirmed that Pawan’s next project is with Trivikram.
“He starts shooting for Trivikram’s project from next month. While he is also committed to doing Telugu remake of Vedalam (2015), it seems like the project might only happen next year,” a source told CE. The source also added that Pawan has not even approached for Theri remake. “When he hasn’t even been offered the project, where’s the question of being part of the remake? Since he is still unsure about Vedalam remake, he doesn’t want to commit to any new project.
It’s only after he starts shooting for Trivikram’s film, he will take a call on whether to sign a new project or not,” explained the source. Pawan awaits the release of Katamarayudu, a remake of Ajith’s Veeram (2014), which will release this Friday. Over the years, he starred in Suswagatham (1997), Kushi (2001) and Annavaram (2006), all remakes of Vijay’s films.
