Airports grounded

The Ministry of Civil Aviation had launched its Regional Connectivity Scheme, while included reviving defunct airports. However, the scheme is 'demand-driven' and depends on the firm commitments from airline operators as well as the respective state governments, says the ministry. Here's a snapshot of the number of non-operational airports under the Airports Authority of India.
