Eating high-protein breakfast has been shown to reduce cravings throughout the day. Do not skip your breakfast, as it's the starting meal of the day. Starting your day with a blood-sugar-stabilizing blend of nutrients will help you slim down without sacrifice.
Base most of your diet on whole foods. Whole foods are those in their natural, unaltered state, such as fresh fruits and vegetables, raw nuts and seeds. They are healthier, more filling and much less likely to cause overeating which is a major cause of obesity.
Most fruits and vegetables are low in fat and calories making them ideal for use in weight loss diets. They also contain plenty of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, all of which are important for helping us to look and feel our best and helps in weight lose.
Eating slowly may not fit into a busy workday, but it pays to pace your chewing: The quicker you eat, the lesser the time your body has to register fullness of stomach. So slow down, and take a second to savour.
Sugary and carbonated drinks are the most fattening food that you can consume. So monitor your intake of juice, soda, sweetened coffee and tea drinks, and alcoholic beverages.
To get the amount of caffeine purported to help you lose weight, you need to drink 2 to 3 cups of green tea a day.
Drinking water 30 minutes before and after meal helps you in losing weight, as the water gives you a feeling of a full stomach. Besides that water is good for skin and keeps you hydrated throughout the day.
While shopping for groceries, prefer walking. Weight loss is easy, if you keep your body moving. Going to office? Ditch your lift, choose stairs. Long phone calls? Walk while you talk. Get your laziness out, do your household chores. Mopping, sweeping, washing clothes and cleaning can be fun when you think in terms of weight loss.
Poor sleep is one of the strongest risk factors for weight gain, so taking care of your sleep is important.
