Konidela Kalyan Babu was born in 2 September 1971 in Bapatla Andhra Pradesh. Kalyan belongs to a film family which includes his brother Chiranjeevi, nephews Ram Charan, Varun Tej, Sai Dharam Tej and Niharika Konidela. Pawan Kalyan is a trained martial artist. He hold a black belt in Karate and is known to be involved in the stunt and dance choreography in his films. He has co-ordinated stunt choreography in films like 'Thammudu', 'Badri', 'Gudumba Shankar' and 'Daddy'.
