Ajmal Kasab, the only terrorist caught alive by the police was one of the four militants carrying out the gunfire inside the railway station. The attack left 52 dead and injured over a 100 others. The firing ended at about 10:45 pm. After a long trial he was hanged  on 21 November 2012 in Pune. (Photo: AFP)

David Coleman Headley who was born as Daood Sayed Gilani is an American terrorist of Pakistan origin, and a spy who conspired with the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) in plotting the 2008 Mumbai attacks. He was prosecuted by a Mumbai special court in early february 2016 and was sentenced to jail for his role in plotting the attack. He is currently in jail in the United States of America.
