The former Indian cricket team captain holds the record for the number of runs in ODI as well as Test as well as the only cricketer to complete more than 30,000 runs in international cricket. Here are ten best innings by Sachin Tendulkar.
114 v Australia at Perth, 1992 Sachin was nineteen when he went for his first Australia tour. Australia had put up a 346 score. The Master Blaster scored a 114 from just 161 balls. India put up a score of 272. In the fourth innings, India had to chase 442 but was dismantled at 141 with Australia winning the match by 300 runs along with the series at 4-0.(File photo|AFP)
143 v Australia at Sharjah, 1998 The match was one of the classic performances of Sachin Tendulkar. Though India failed to earn the required 285 runs to win the match, Sachin's brilliant score of 143 helped the team to find a place in the final. Ravi Shastri described it as Sachin's best innings. 98 v Pakistan at Centurion, 2003 Sachin himself has describe this as his best inning. India was chasing a total of 273 runs and Sachin managed to score 98 off just 75 balls. 155* v Australia at Chennai, 1998 In the decider match of the Border-Gavaskar trophy of 1997/98, Sachin scored 155, helping India to rake up 418/4d, making way for their victory. 84 v N. Zealand, Eden Park Auckland, 1994 Sachin became opening batsman for the first time in his career and the Eden Park Auckland witnessed the batsman knocking off 82 runs from just 43 balls. His score included 15 fours and two sixes. He later described it as a dream inning. (AP)
