Eight hours of blissful slumber gets you in groove for any dare the next day brings. What you choose to slip into during those hours helps in calming down and switching off! Dandelion, the bespoke sleepwear brand for women founded by Samyukta Nair, Head (Design & Operations) for The Leela Palace, Hotels & Resorts, brings to life a line of comfortable and stylish sleepwear with their signature new whimsical and playful prints that they refresh every season.

“Our new prints available for the summer include Paris, rockets, unicorns, bunny, stars and popsicles. Of these, my favourite is Paris, created for actress Sonam Kapoor. Every year, we make a three-print edition for Sonam for Cannes, and this year we made Paris, magenta bunny and unicorns for her. These prints will be released in next 10 days,” says Samyukta.

Speaking about the Paris edition, she adds, “After Sonam’s glamorous Cannes appearances in outfits by some of the best international design houses, I was thrilled to have her unwind in Dandelion! Being a dear friend, I was keen to make something that was true to her aesthetic. We chose baby pink, mint green and light blue, and created prints hinted to France (such as the poodle, Eiffel Tower, moustaches).”

Samyukta launched Dandelion on noticing a ‘lack of sleepwear choices available to Indian women and prohibitive international shipping charges levied on ordering sleepwear online.’ With focus on e-shopping, Dandelion first launched their sleepwear range at Pernia’s Pop Up Shop and then went online. “Our team of designers work on a series of prints that are all limited in edition and ensure a varied print mix for those who patronise us,” she says.

For keen shoppers, Dandelion offers make-to-measure sleepwear apart from the standard size buckets in keeping with the international sizes. “There is no greater luxury than a good night’s sleep. In addition to dressing for the part, my cheat sheet to sleeping deep includes good quality bed linen, sipping on lightly infused Chamomile tea,” she reveals.
