Step in at Taj Khazana of Taj Palace, Delhi, and you will get a whiff of chic feel. Having covered over 30 years of existence, Taj’s in-house lifestyle store unveils its new look after a closure of two months.
It has become more customer-friendly with neat display and improved ambience. The layout is more contemporary aesthetics; lighting focuses on every piece; the walls are done up in pleasing florals and adorned with exclusive lithographs and paintings of award-winning artists.

Saris, pashminas, silk stoles, shawls, selected clothing for men have always been a part of Khazana merchandise. However, this time there is a new range of diamond jewellery and ‘Home and Interiors’ collection.

The new product line also has a choice in elegant furniture range. It includes Mother of Pearl Inlay furniture, Chinese Style Bar Cabinet and Burmese Teakwood bed. Hand-woven and hand-knotted carpets in antique and contemporary designs, and the classic lighting options are impressive. Gift items such as cufflinks and silk ties have been popular amongst regular patrons. Now the range also encompasses art d’objects from Bastar, Odisha, Karnataka and Rajasthan.

True to its name, the store has some masterpieces by local craftsmen and National Award-winning artists. ‘Sandalwood Sitar’ by artist Mahesh Jangid from Jaipur is one such example. It is a hand-carved miniature sitar with strings reflecting story of Mia Tansen’s life. Depicting various scenes with Goddess Saraswati on top, it is available in two sizes. Likeswise, the hand-carved sandalwood hand fan by the same artist is outstanding, depicting Lord Krishna’s story. Not to be missed is also his ‘Ganesh Darbar’ in Kadam wood.
This time Taj Khazana is also showcasing bespoke products from overseas.

The store in its new avatar is a delightful amalgamation of traditional and modern merchandise.
