The road to rejuvenation

The road to rejuvenation

Overlooking the soothing greens of the 18-hole Greg Norman Jaypee Golf Course, the Jaypee Greens Golf & Spa Resort in Greater Noida is a harmonious blend of luxury, impeccable service, age-old traditions and inspiring ambience.

The super-luxury designer resort, built on  nine acres, offers 170 elegant rooms along with a world-renowned Six Senses Spa. It also happens to be India’s first and only Six Senses Spa. Set amid luxurious green landscape, the ambience, contemporary architecture and sculptures provide Jaypee Greens Golf and Spa Resort a distinctive identity.

Designed in the style of a traditional Indian house, the spa features beautiful inner courtyards, water bodies, and various therapy and relaxation areas. Locally-sourced wood and stone have been used throughout the spa; traditional artefacts, including antique bronze pots, vases and urns, exude an exotic charm. The unique amalgamation of indigenous elements with the contemporary facilities is what makes the spa unique.

“Offering luxury retreats for up to 3000 guests, the spa at the resort is being set up in collaboration with Six Senses, a super-luxury global spa chain from Thailand,” tells Samir Patel, Managing Director, Six Senses Spas. “Six Senses Spa at Jaypee Greens is a team of gifted international spa therapists who specialise in a wide range of wellness, rejuvenation and beauty therapies, using a fusion of healing practices drawn from cultures around the world, thus representing the international nature of India.”

Myriad Facilities

Spread over three floors, the spa houses a wide range of facilities, including a state-of-the-art fitness centre, yoga studio, female and male Hammams, a meditation cave, a ladies club and golfers’ treatment area, to name a few. Tracey Poole, Spa Director, says: “We offer 147 different treatments under 15 categories to the guests. The spa is equipped with 26 treatment rooms, with specialist therapy areas for Ayurveda, Watsu, Hammams, and Colonic hydrotherapy.”

The ladies club is an ideal location for private spa parties and events or “brides to be”, and it provides various hair spa treatments. Also included in the spacious ‘women’s only’ beauty area is a private make-up studio for special events and personalised make-up lessons. There is also a relaxation area for socialising, playing board games and savouring healthy refreshments.

The Spa Menu

The Six Senses Spas’ philosophy of balancing all the senses is creatively represented in the spa’s menu which offers highly-effective treatments ranging from the signature massages, facials, wraps and scrubs, to specialist therapies and balancing journeys. The spa’s menu has a blend of Ayurvedic, Asian and locally-inspired spa rituals and day packages. Classes of yoga, pilates, meditation, qi gong and tai chi are also available.

 Locally inspired

The spa is a true testament to the company’s philosophy of sustainability. It is evident from the choice of materials and design to the organic garden which provides a rich collection of herbs, fruits and flowers as ingredients for the healthy refreshments and locally-inspired treatments. So you will find Golden Marigold, Castor, Jasmine, Tamarind, Thyme and Pomegranate that offer an authentic Six Senses experience.

In case you wish some desi-style massage, like the age old Pehlwan Malish, you can very well indulge in it here.

Here the locally-inspired spa therapies are conducted in the most authentic yet sophisticated manner. It includes:

• Indian Head Massage

• Indian Secrets

• Pehlwan Malish Massage

Asian Therapies

The notion of the Far East has been captured in a series of Asian therapies, including Thai Massage, Tuina, Shiatsu, Indian Head Massage and Foot Acupressure. In addition, a selection of specialist therapies such as Reflexology, Reiki and Chinese Cupping is also on offer.

Signature Therapies

The Six Senses Spa is known for its Signature Therapies which are classified as: Detox, Energiser, Holistic and  Oriental.

• Detox—a stimulating massage with firming, toning oils to reduce cellulite.

• Energiser—a reviving upper body massage, focussing on key areas to relieve muscle tension.

• Holistic—a light to medium pressure soothing massage with long, flowing movements.

 Specialist Therapies

Hammam

Another unique twist is the combination of the hugely beneficial rituals of Hammam with specialist treatments to assist guests with stress relief or cleansing.
