See the divine light of soul

Today, theoretically most of you know that consciousness is present everywhere—both inside and outside of you.

Today, theoretically most of you know that consciousness is present everywhere—both inside and outside of you. The human body has to be appropriately used to tap the universal pure consciousness. As a spiritual seeker or spiritual scientist, you are on the mode of discovering the self through the various practices of Ashtanga yoga—eight limbs of yoga.

Enlightened masters say, “Pure consciousness can be identified by breath and awareness. The state of Kumbhaka—‘Retention of breath’—is the seat of wisdom. This is the pure way of expressing yourselves to the creator.”

Although you may be adept in Pranayama and other kriyas, you are still not firmly established in the state of Kumbhaka as a normal state—Sahaja Sthithi.

However, your forcefully held or retained breath may cause strain and discomfort. State of Kumbhaka instills purity in you to the extent that even if you simply offer a heartfelt prostration to the God, He accepts it with love and fills you with grace.

Today, you don’t have the confidence in your purity and hence you are not sure if mere prostrations are enough to earn the grace of God. You are confused. Follow the bhakti saints—Kanakdasa, Purandara Dasa, Saint Meera Bai, Naam Dev, Tukaram and others. All these taintless saints have offered their prostrations with the
whole of the inner core of their hearts.

Their purpose of life was to be established in the pure and taintless state in order to see the divine light of the soul.

What is preventing you from seeing this light? Predominantly, it is your fear. You think the God is very fearful and is subconsciously forcing fear upon you.

You also feel you are not ready for it yet. This is the kind of apprehension. Where does fear lead you to? It leads you to dual mind. You will be left with no confidence to take decisions in life. Today, around 99 per cent of people in our society are full of duality, which sets the stain of taint in you.

It starts consuming your will power further. That is why most of your will power has become weak and duality dancing its way into your life. You don’t have the proper will to encounter the duality.

When you start offering heartfelt prostrations from the inner core of your heart, like the bhakti saints and enlightened beings, then automatically God will infuse will power in you to completely remove your fear, taint and confusion.

You realise that the real sense of life is fusion with the divine core or the spirit in you.

That is when the real—Kumbhaka state—is instilled in you and it becomes your Sahaja Sthithi. You start seeing the light of your soul.

You will realise that most of the light or the wisdom is common sense. In the Sahaja Sthithi, each of the 21,600 times you breathe through Pooraka (inhalation) and Rechaka (exhalation), your breath will be charged with awareness of your pure consciousness.
