Rolls-Royce Phantom II: Luxury redefined

Rolls-Royce Phantom II: Luxury redefined

For British auto marque Rolls-Royce it is luxury all the way, in every shape and size and above all customisation. The company recently launched in India its updated and refreshing Phantom Series II and hopes it will continue to live the legacy which the brand has created for many many years since it came to inception. Ammar Alvi explores.

It is the ultimate luxury on wheels; the Maharajas, kings, queens, heads of state and the rich and famous prefer it. For many, it is the epitome of luxury. Rolls-Royce Phantom is not a car; it is hand-crafted, perfectly engineered masterpiece which has been part of history books and will continue to

appear in the future in new form and design. The Phantom Series II is best answer to the update and takes the series to another level.

The new Phantom II, priced upwards of Rs 4.6 crore, offers fully LED headlamps as standard for Phantom Series II. The model is equipped with an 8-speed automatic gearbox, while new driver assistance technologies, satellite navigation system, front, rear and top-view cameras are the other features. A new 8-speed automatic gearbox and rear differential enhance already exemplary driving dynamics perfectly complementing the V12 direct injection engine.

According to Herfried Hasenoehrl, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars’ General Manager for Emerging Markets, Asia, “ The super luxury segment is unimpacted by the economic slowdown. The Indian market continues to prove its appetite for luxury products. There is sustained demand from the country’s discerning client base, who appreciate the timeless design of Phantom Series II. We are looking at adding two more outlets in the country, taking the total number to five by the end of the year.”

The company sells its car presently via three outlets— Mumbai, Delhi and Hyderabad —and buzz is that the company intends to open another outlet in Chandigarh. The fifth one would be closer to Maharashtra.
