Tableau Mobile software now available for android users

US-based software company Tableau on Thursday launched Tableau Mobile software for android phones in India.

NEW DELHI: US-based software company Tableau on Thursday launched Tableau Mobile software for android phones in India.

Tableau Mobile, which has been offering their services to Apple's operating system (OS), iOS will now be available for Google's OS.

"We are thrilled to bring Tableau Mobile to the people around the world who use android smartphones," said Dave Story, Vice President of Product Development, at Tableau.

With Tableau Mobile, people can go from questions to answers in just a few taps.

Fluid navigation lets Tableau customers select, filter and drill down into their data with controls that are automatically optimised for touch.

The features includes search and browse to find vizzes (visualisations) and dashboards, interact with data to understand relationships, connect securely to "Tableau Online" or Tableau Server.

The Android app can be downloaded from the Google Play and portal for Android apps.
