Google honours 'Little Women' Alcott with doodle on her 184th birthday

The doodle shows Alcott's raetions -- Meg, Jo, Beth, Amy and Jo's best friend Laurie, their neighbour in a scene from the 'Little Women' which is considered as Alcott's semi-autobiographical.

NEW DELHI: Google honours 'Little Women' author Louisa May Alcott with a doodle on the homepage to mark her 184th birthday.

The doodle shows Alcott's raetions -- Meg, Jo, Beth, Amy and Jo's best friend Laurie, their neighbour in a scene from the 'Little Women' which is considered as Alcott's semi-autobiographical.

The novel was well received and is still a popular children's novel that has been filmed several times.

Born in the US in the year 1832, the author is best known for her works 'Little Women', its sequels 'Little Men and Jo's Boys'.

Alcott died in the year 1888 from a heart attack.
