NEW DELHI: Chinese smartphone maker Huawei, under its Honor brand, on Thursday launched 'Honor Band 3' - the first device to feature up to 50-metre water resistance - in India.

The band that comes with features like heart rate monitoring, walking/running and advanced sleep tracking, will be available on Amazon from July 21 at Rs 2,799.

"The new 'Honor Band 3' is equipped with smart technology to help people use intelligent trackers to keep a close watch on their fitness statistics," P. Sanjeev, Vice President-Sales (Huawei and Honor Consumer Business), said in a statement.

The company claims that the device runs for 30 days on a single charge and has customer-swimming modes to track swim time, calories burned and more.

For heart rate tracking, the band has five zones to help a user precisely track and optimise workouts.

Its heart rate algorithm, coupled with 'M4' core technology, claims to deliver accurate heart rate data.

The band's bright display also works as an assistant with notification alerts like caller ID, emails, call rejection, social media and calendar alerts.
